"A Life Worth Living"

Past Show: Aug 17-Sep 8 2012

Rose B. Simpson (Santa Clara) is known for her introspective and highly autobiographical figurative ceramic work. Hand-building clay figures that are commonly a reaction to personal events, Simpson "clarifies a feeling" in her artworks and shares with the viewer her personal vision. Simpson, aware that this reactionary approach has become personally overwhelming, exhausting, and potentially stagnating, the work in "A Life Worth Living" is about accepting experiences and staying present in a moment long enough to learn what it has to teach.

Opening Reception, Friday, August 17, 5-7pm
