Chiaroscuro is pleased to present a major solo exhibition of works on paper and paintings by Rick Bartow (1946-2016) (Wiyot). Presenting approximately sixteen works on paper and canvas, this exhibition focuses on Bartow’s expressionistic figurative transformative imagery and his masterful use of acrylic paint and oil pastel. Chiaroscuro has represented Rick Bartow since 2007, and has worked closely with the Bartow Trust since the artist’s passing in 2016. All works featured in our exhibition are directly from the Bartow Trust and have not been presented in Santa Fe before.
