Seth Anderson

About the Artist

Seth Anderson's abstract mixed media paintings from his "Lines Series" operate on a number of different conceptual levels. The graphic quality of DNA structures and how these structures form a personality are his primary concerns. Anderson's undulating lines act like strands of DNA forming the personality or design of the painting. Secondly, Anderson equates these same lines to the pathways an individual follows in life. As one would read a map, these repeated patterns of travel read like roads and form a design that maps differently for all of us.

Anderson's materials are ink and paint on paper, which is then collaged onto wood panels and covered with a beautiful waxy surface. The majority of the works are square, and range in size from six inch to seven feet square. Please contact the gallery for a complete list of inventory.
