About Jeri Eisenberg
Jeri Eisenberg's most current photographic images are firmly grounded in the natural world: a particular place, a particular season, a particular time. The images are captured either through a pinhole, or radically defocusing a lens, then printed with pigmented inks on Japanese Kozo paper. By obscuring details in this way, only the strongest brush strokes emerge, letting the images create sketches with light. They are intended to be quiet, contemplative, meditative pieces. Jeri's work strives to provide the fragmentary glimpses of beauty that exist in the everyday natural world, which console, even as they are tinged with a sadness of the awareness of their transience.
