About the Artist

Flo Perkins describes her work as "a physical expression of the mysterious connection between my head and my hands. There is a process there that is at the center of being, very real yet elusive. Glass is the most fluid material, a metaphor for the inner life; it's never quite under my control. Making glass and making art is full of hunches, and a flash of an idea can change with the flick of a wrist; a cactus, a flower, a garden, a bouquet, a bowling pin, a career spent on these things "on a hunch. A belief in being, a belief in process."
